IME Life donates Rs 5 lakh for visually impaired students’ education

KATHMANDU: IME Life Insurance Company Limited has extended financial support of Rs 5 lakh to Fellowship Society Nepal under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, aiming to enhance educational access for visually impaired students across Nepal.

The support will be used to provide essential learning materials such as Braille paper, slate and stylus sets, as well as assistive technologies including computers and screen reader software.

These resources will directly benefit students studying in three schools located in Lalolang (Kathmandu), Dang, and Surkhet.

According to the company, the initiative is expected to improve access to quality education for visually impaired children, helping bridge learning gaps and promoting inclusive education in the country.

The program reflects the belief that equal opportunity and inclusive education are key pillars of social development.

Fellowship Society Nepal, which has been working since 2000 for the education and rights of visually impaired children, will implement the program with its long-standing experience in the field.

Reaffirming its commitment under the motto “Ensuring Future,” IME Life Insurance Company Limited continues to conduct CSR activities in areas such as education, health, environmental protection, financial literacy, and community development.
