Ride-sharing drivers protest, demand fare hike (photos)

KATHMANDU: The Independent Driver Foundation Nepal has taken to the streets to protest against ride-sharing companies’ increasing fares.

Members of the Independent Drivers Foundation Nepal organized a motorcycle rally, highlighting concerns that major ride-sharing companies like Yango, InDrive, and Pathao charge excessive commissions and fail to implement insurance policies for drivers properly.

The drivers displayed placards and posters on their motorcycles as they gathered at Maitighar Mandala, calling on companies to adjust fares fairly and improve working conditions for ride-sharing personnel.
