KATHMANDU: All ballots for the upcoming House of Representatives election on March 5 have been printed, election authorities confirmed.

Yadunath Paudel, Managing Director of Janak Shikshya Samagri Kendra Ltd., the firm responsible for ballot printing, stated that the task was completed by Monday evening. “We have finished printing 20.3 million ballots for the first-past-the-post system ahead of schedule.

Though the project was planned for 42 days, we managed to complete it in 40,” he said.

Paudel added that from today, all ballots will be packaged and dispatched to the respective provinces, with delivery to all districts expected within 10 days.

Printing and distribution of 20.83 million proportional representation ballots is currently underway.

He confirmed that ballots have already reached Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, and work is ongoing to ensure all other regions receive them on time.
