KATHMANDU: President Ramchandra Paudel and Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav did not participate in today’s House of Representatives election.
Maintaining constitutional neutrality as guardians of the Constitution, both leaders refrained from casting their votes, according to the President’s Press Advisor Kiran Pokhrel.
President Paudel, who has previously voted from his home district of Tanahun at the Satyawati Secondary School polling center in Byas Municipality, chose not to vote this time.
Similarly, Vice President Yadav abstained from voting to uphold constitutional impartiality, his Press Advisor Dinesh Yadav stated. In previous elections, he had cast his vote at a polling center in Basbariya, Bara.
