President Paudel vows economic growth, anti-corruption drive, and good governance
Addressing the joint session of the Federal Parliament on Friday, President Paudel presented the policies and programs of the government for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83.
KATHMANDU: President Ramchandra Paudel has affirmed the government’s strong commitment to enhancing economic dynamism, curbing corruption, and ending impunity in Nepal.
Addressing the joint session of the Federal Parliament on Friday, President Paudel presented the policies and programs of the government for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83.
He emphasized that the government remains dedicated to good governance and rapid economic development, guided by the minimum common program agreed upon during the formation of the coalition government.
Highlighting the government’s resolve, President Paudel stated, “We are committed to promoting good governance, ensuring rapid economic growth, and fulfilling the shared aspirations of the people through collective effort and common resolve.”
He further criticized attempts to exploit negative sentiments and spread misinformation to create chaos in society, stressing the need to protect the federal democratic republic. “The government is steadfast in defending the historic achievements born from the sacrifices, struggles, and movements of the Nepali people,” he said.
President Paudel also underlined the government’s focus on political stability, rule of law, development, and social justice to achieve the national vision of “Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali.” He reiterated that Nepal’s development strategy is firmly rooted in democratic values and aims for a socialism-oriented economic and social transformation that aligns with the aspirations and needs of the people.
