APF rescue two from Narayani & Bhote Koshi rivers

KATHMANDU: Security forces successfully rescued two individuals from separate river incidents in eastern and central regions of the country.

In the first incident, a 62-year-old man, identified as Jhanak Prasad Paudel from Devchuli Municipality–11, was rescued after he jumped into the Narayani River in Gandaki Province at Gaidakot Municipality–2 on the morning of Asar 4.

A team deployed from Armed Police Force Nepal No. 31 Gulm used a motorboat to carry out a swift and safe rescue operation.

He was immediately transported to Chitwan Hospital for treatment, and his condition is reported to be stable.

In a separate incident in Sindhupalchowk District, Nepal, 23-year-old Sanjiv BK from Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality–1 was swept into the Bhote Koshi River at Larcha, Bhote Koshi Rural Municipality–2.

He was found stranded on a rock in the middle of the river.

Following the report, a rescue team from Armed Police Force Nepal Border Out Post Tatopani conducted a timely operation and successfully brought him to safety.

He has been referred to Dhulikhel Hospital for medical care.

Authorities have confirmed that both individuals are receiving treatment and are in stable condition following the rescue operations.
