Prachanda reached Rukum East to file election nomination
Prachanda is scheduled to file his nomination tomorrow, Tuesday, and will return to Kathmandu on Wednesday.
KATHMANDU: Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Chair of the Nepal Communist Party and former Prime Minister, has arrived in Rukum East today ahead of the upcoming House of Representatives election on March 5.
According to Tej Bahadur Oli, district in-charge of the Nepal Communist Party in Rukum East, Prachanda is scheduled to file his nomination tomorrow, Tuesday, and will return to Kathmandu on Wednesday.
Kevendra Gautam, President of the Rukum East Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said the former Prime Minister’s candidacy has excited the local population, who are hopeful that his leadership will boost development in the district.
Known as the birthplace of the People’s War, Rukum East anticipates that Prachanda’s entry into the electoral race will elevate the region’s growth and progress.
