KATHMANDU: The Nepal Premier League (NPL) continues with an exciting encounter between Biratnagar Kings and Pokhara Avengers.

After winning the toss, Pokhara opted to bowl first, setting the stage for a thrilling contest.

Both teams are eager to shake off last season’s disappointments, as neither managed to reach the playoffs.

Biratnagar will rely on star all-rounder Sandeep Lamichhane’s leadership, while Pokhara looks to captain Kushal Bhurtel, who faces the dual challenge of leading his side and making a strong personal comeback after a quiet previous season.

Earlier in the day, Chitwan Rhinos opened their campaign with a four-wicket victory over Karnali Yaks, while yesterday, Kathmandu Gorkhas claimed a win in the tournament’s first match.
