KATHMANDU: Former Crown Prince Paras Shah has been admitted to Norvic International Hospital in Thapathali, Kathmandu, for medical treatment.
On Thursday morning, doctors replaced his pacemaker, which had been previously implanted in Bangkok but had exhausted its battery.
Medical officials stated that Shah originally received the pacemaker due to weakened heart function.
Currently, his condition is stable, and he is expected to be discharged within two to three days.
A pacemaker is a medical device that regulates the heart’s rhythm when it fails to generate adequate beats.
Heart rhythm disorders can cause symptoms such as dizziness or fainting, and the pacemaker serves as an effective treatment in such cases.
