NMB Bank introduces real-time Indo-Nepal P2P remittance for fast & secure cross-border payments

KATHMANDU: NMB Bank Limited has officially introduced its real-time Indo-Nepal Person-to-Person (P2P) cross-border payment and remittance service, in partnership with Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL).
NMB Bank serves as a key participating member bank to facilitate instant retail fund transfers between the two countries.
With this new linkage, customers can enjoy immediate, direct electronic fund transfers from India straight into eligible NMB Bank personal accounts, and vice versa, eliminating traditional processing delays.
The service also provides seamless digital access by allowing customers to make secure deposits using a personalised Virtual Payment Address (VPA), eliminating the hassle of sharing lengthy bank account numbers.
Additionally, the feature offers complete omnichannel convenience, enabling users to manage cross-border receipts via digital channels or through assisted support at any branch.
This facility ensures a highly flexible experience for retail receivers, allowing them to safely receive household remittances and personal funds, all backed by continuous, automated safety monitoring from NMB’s secure backend systems.
