NEPSE index slips slightly; turnover reaches Rs 2.80 billion
A total of 56.43 million shares of 339 companies were traded during the session, generating a turnover of Rs 2.80 billion.
KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined marginally on Wednesday, falling by 4.15 points to close at 2,740.25.
Similarly, the Sensitive Index, which measures the performance of large-cap companies, dropped by 0.70 points and settled at 467.55.
A total of 56.43 million shares of 339 companies were traded during the session, generating a turnover of Rs 2.80 billion.
Among the most actively traded stocks were SY Panel Nepal, Ridi Power Company, Sahas Urja, Solu Hydro Power, and Reliance Spinning Mills.
On the gainers’ side, Asian Hydro Power, SY Panel, Himalayan Bank Debenture, NIBL Growth Fund, and Century Debenture posted notable gains.
Meanwhile, Dhaulagiri Laghubitta, Jhapa Energy, Citizen Bank Debenture, Ridge Line Energy, and RBB Focus-40 were among the top losers of the day.
