NEPSE index sees moderate gain

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index registered a modest increase today, rising by 5.70 points to close at 2,625.70.

A total of 332 companies saw 8,598,424 shares traded across 58,096 transactions, amounting to a turnover of Rs 405.37 crore, according to NEPSE.

While the sub-indices for Hotel & Tourism, Non-Life Insurance, and Trading sectors declined, all other sector indices showed growth.

Swastik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. and SY Panel Nepal Ltd. hit the positive circuit limit, whereas Barahi Hydropower Public Ltd. reached the negative circuit limit.
