NEPSE index gains, all sectors record positive growth

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) saw a notable rise today, with the NEPSE index increasing by 53.01 points to settle at 2,819.10, marking a 0.91% gain.

A total of 321 companies traded 14,986,142 shares in 72,528 transactions, amounting to a turnover of Rs 768.33 crore, according to NEPSE.

All sectoral sub-indices recorded gains today. Banking rose 1.38%, development banks 3.40%, finance 1.98%, hotels and tourism 1.66%, hydropower 1.85%, investment 2.19%, and life insurance 2.21%.

Production and processing increased 2.69%, microfinance 1.09%, mutual funds 0.47%, non-life insurance 1.68%, trading 2.68%, and other sectors 2.14%.

Development Hydropower Company Limited shares hit the positive circuit limit, while KB Debenture–2086 shares fell the most, down 5.79%.

In terms of turnover, Himalayan Reinsurance Limited recorded the highest trading value of Rs 65.42 crore, and Green Venture Limited led in traded shares with 846,623 units exchanged.
