NEPSE gains 38 points, closes at 2,783.85

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s stock market ended the trading session on a positive note, with the NEPSE index rising by 38.19 points, or 1.39 percent, to close at 2,783.85.
The Sensitive Index, which tracks the performance of large-cap companies, also increased by 6.08 points to 473.41.
Market breadth remained strong, with 247 companies recording gains, while only 18 declined and 4 remained unchanged.
A total of 10.43 million shares were traded during the day, generating a turnover of Rs 4.61 billion.
In terms of turnover, Reliance Spinning Mills, National Hydro Power Company, SY Panel Nepal, Ridi Power Company, and Sahas Urja Limited led the market activity.
On the gainers’ side, investors of First Microfinance Laghubitta, Kumari Debt Fund, Dolti Power Company, Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta, and Mechyang Hydropower saw notable increases.
Meanwhile, investors in Trishuli Jal Vidhyut Company, NMB-50, Laxmi Bank debentures, Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme II, and Prime Bank debentures faced losses.
Overall, the market showed broad-based optimism with strong participation across hydropower, finance, and manufacturing sectors.
