NEPSE gains 22 points; turnover exceeds Rs 5.26 billion

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) benchmark index rose on Tuesday, gaining 22.21 points to close at 2,777.58.

The Sensitive Index, which tracks blue-chip companies, also increased by 2.78 points to 473.51.

During the session, a total of 346 listed companies traded 11.38 million shares, generating a turnover of Rs 5.26 billion.

In terms of trading volume, Aankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company topped the list, followed by Nepal Reinsurance Company, Ridi Power Company, Central Finance, and Himalayan Reinsurance Limited.

Among gainers, investors in Kalinchowk Hydropower, Central Finance, Crest Micro Life Insurance, Nepal Reinsurance Company, and Gurkhas Finance saw positive movement.

On the losing side, holders of Nabil Debenture, Bungl Hydropower, Jhapa Energy, Atmanirbhar Laghubitta, and Bottlers Nepal Balaju faced declines.
