NEPSE falls by double digits on second trading day of the week

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, which surged sharply on the first trading day of the week, declined by double digits on the second day.
On Tuesday, the benchmark NEPSE index dropped by 10.53 points to settle at 2,622.88 points.
According to NEPSE, a total of 103,707 shares of 337 listed companies were traded through 69,548 transactions, generating a total turnover of Rs 4.77 billion during the day.
Except for the development bank and mutual fund sub-indices, all other sectoral indices ended the session in negative territory.
During the trading session, SY Panel Nepal Limited hit the positive circuit, while Win Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited recorded a negative circuit.
In terms of transaction value, SY Panel Nepal Limited led the market with the highest turnover of Rs 230.24 million.
Meanwhile, based on the number of shares traded, Ngadi Group Power Limited topped the list, with 302,900 shares changing hands.
