KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by 39.44 points on the trading day, settling at 2,744.40, marking a 1.41 percent drop.

During the session, a total of 10.678 million shares were traded, generating a turnover of Rs 4.66 billion (Rs 4,66,50,20,677).
Top Traded Companies
The most actively traded companies included National Hydro Power, Reliance Spinning Mills, Ridi Power Company, Shivam Cements, and AY Panel Limited.
Top Gainers
Investors in Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Financial Institution, SBL Debenture, NIBL Samriddhi Fund, NIC Asia Debenture, and Nepal SBI Bank Debenture recorded gains.
Top Losers
On the losing side, shares of First Microfinance Laghubitta, Kumari Dhanabriddhi Yojana, Jhapa Energy, Atmanirbhar Laghubitta, and Hot Forest declined.
Out of the total traded companies, 13 recorded gains, 251 declined, while 5 remained unchanged, indicating a broadly negative market sentiment.
