KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) slipped slightly on Monday, declining by 3 points to close at 2,606.67 points.

A total of 10.14 million shares of various companies were traded.

At market close, the share prices of 99 companies declined, while 147 companies also ended in the red—an apparent duplication error in the original reporting but indicating widespread pressure across stocks.

Likewise, 12 companies recorded no change in their share prices.

Throughout the day, 331 listed companies saw trading activity, totaling 83,273 transactions.

Meanwhile, five companies hit the positive circuit level, reflecting strong investor interest in select stocks.

Out of the 13 trading sub-indices, all declined except for Hydropower, Life Insurance, Manufacturing & Processing, Non-life Insurance, and Trading, which managed to close in the green.
