KATHMANDU: The Nepal Wood, Interior & Furniture International Expo 2082 is set to begin this Friday at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, bringing together leading national and international brands from the wood, interior, and furniture sectors.

Jointly organized by Media Space Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and Futurex Trade Fair & Events Pvt. Ltd., the exhibition marks its 10th edition, featuring the 11th Nepal Wood International Expo alongside the Nepal Interior & Furniture Expo.

The three-day event will be held on Poush 4, 5 and 6 (Dec 19, 20 & 21).

The expo will host over 100 stalls showcasing a wide range of products, including interior and furniture solutions, plywood, laminates, home textiles, hardware, wood-related machinery and tools, furnishings, mattresses, raw materials, and finished products.

Renowned domestic and international brands will participate, offering visitors insights into the latest products and technologies in the sector.

Over the past decade, the exhibition has established itself as a key platform for promoting innovation in Nepal’s wood and furniture industry.

Companies, dealers, sub-dealers, and sellers related to furniture, plywood, laminates, and woodworking tools will present advanced technologies and emerging trends aimed at modernizing the sector.

The organizers said the expo is designed to introduce state-of-the-art global technologies to the Nepali market and encourage their adoption by domestic industries.

The event is expected to help both small and large enterprises upgrade machinery, improve efficiency, and enhance production quality.

Supporting organizations for the exhibition include the Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal, Federation of Community Forestry Users Nepal, Federation of Forest-Based Industries and Trade Nepal, Nepal Plywood Producers’ Association, and the Interior Designers’ Association of Nepal (IDAN).

In addition, experts from IDAN will conduct two-day seminars and workshops on topics such as latest technologies, interior design trends, and furniture innovation.

The exhibition is expected to contribute significantly to the development and modernization of Nepal’s wood, furniture, and interior sectors. Alongside the general public and prospective homeowners, the event will see participation from leading architects, engineers, and interior designers from across the country.

Organizers believe the expo will serve as an important bridge for bringing internationally successful technologies into Nepal and making advanced products more accessible in the domestic market, while also playing a positive role in strengthening local wood-based manufacturing industries.
