KATHMANDU: The Nepal Power, Light & Electric and Nepal Consumer Electronics & Home Appliances International Exhibition, which began last Friday, concluded on Sunday, drawing over 27,000 visitors by the afternoon, according to Sirjal Bhattarai, Managing Director of the organizing company, Media Space Solutions.

The exhibition featured more than 150 stalls from Nepal and other countries, showcasing the latest in power, energy, and electronic technologies.

The event aimed to promote increased consumption of electricity through diverse electrical solutions, support import substitution, and strengthen the energy sector in Nepal, Bhattarai said.

He added that international companies participating in the expo left with a positive impression of Nepal’s power sector potential and pledged to return with more advanced, high-quality products in future editions.

Organizers are also planning to expand the exhibition to provincial and district levels in the coming years to enhance accessibility to power sector materials.

The exhibition showcased cutting-edge transmission and distribution equipment, energy supply and control devices, house wiring materials, wires, cables, conductors, innovative switches, LED lighting, electronics, home appliances, charging stations, batteries, office technology, and other electrical products.

The event was widely regarded as a significant step in promoting Nepal’s energy industry and fostering collaboration between local and international companies.
