KATHMANDU: The Embassy of Nepal in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has urged Nepali nationals living in the country to remain vigilant and avoid unnecessary travel amid rising tensions in the Middle East.
In a travel advisory issued by the Nepal Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Nepali citizens were requested to strictly follow security guidelines and official instructions issued by the UAE government.
The embassy emphasized the importance of personal safety and situational awareness during the evolving regional security situation.
The advisory follows reports that Iran launched an attack on a US military base located in Al Dhafra, near Abu Dhabi, escalating security concerns in the region.
In response to the developing situation, the UAE authorities have also advised residents to limit outdoor movement and remain indoors unless absolutely necessary.
“In view of the evolving situation in the Middle East, Nepali nationals residing in the United Arab Emirates are requested to refrain from unnecessary travel, exercise caution, and comply with all security guidance and information issued by the UAE government,” the embassy said in its statement.
The embassy further requested Nepali citizens to remain in regular contact with the Nepal Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of Nepal in Dubai for emergency assistance, guidance, and support.
The Nepali mission assured that it is closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of the Nepali community in the UAE.
