KATHMANDU: Nepal secured their first win in the ongoing Top End T20 series in Australia, defeating the Hobart Hurricanes by 68 runs.

Prior to this, Nepal had lost all three of their earlier matches in the series.

Chasing a target of 181 set by Nepal, the Hurricanes were bowled out for 113 in the 16th over.

Nepal’s Nandan Yadav starred with the ball, claiming a career-best 5 wickets.

Earlier, after winning the toss, Nepal batted first and posted 180/7 in their allotted overs.

Aarif Sheikh led the scoring with 33 runs, while openers Aasif Sheikh and Kushal Bhurtel contributed 29 and 27 runs respectively.

Bhim Sarki added 18, and captain Rohit Paudel chipped in with 9 runs.

Kushal Malla scored 6 runs, Karan KC managed 1 run, and Lokesh Bam was run out for 25 off 11 balls. Nandan Yadav remained not out on 1 run.
