NCP nominates Ramesh Mallaa for Salyan parliamentary seat

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has decided to field Ramesh Mallaaa as its candidate for the House of Representatives from Salyan.

The nomination filing for the election, scheduled for March 5, is set to begin tomorrow.

Mall, who previously worked in the secretariat of party coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ has been selected by the party to contest this election.

Previously elected NCP leader Prakash Jwala, who won the 2079 House of Representatives election from the same constituency, has not received a ticket this time.

Following the decision, Jwala accepted the party’s choice, stating: “After consultation, it was decided to nominate Ramesh this time. Since I am not the candidate, I have given my support.”
