NA meeting adjourned as NC seeks health minister
Following Panta's objection, the National Assembly meeting was adjourned within 15 minutes of starting at 3:15 PM today.
KATHMANDU: The meeting of the National Assembly has been adjourned for a while.
The National Assembly meeting scheduled for today has been postponed indefinitely after Congress MP Kamala Panta expressed dissatisfaction with the discussion on the ‘Ensuring Free Health Care Resolution’, which was not attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population.
Following Panta’s objection, the National Assembly meeting was adjourned within 15 minutes of starting at 3:15 PM today.
Senate Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal announced the adjournment of the meeting, stating that the session will be postponed for some time as the Health Minister is expected to join the meeting within 10 minutes.
Congress MP Panta had presented the said resolution in the National Assembly meeting.
A group of lawmakers have voiced their support for MP Pant’s resolution, including Krishna Prasad Paudel, Jitjung Basnet, Sharadadevi Bhatta, Narayandatta Bhatta, Tulprasad Bishwakarma, Bimala Ghimire, Bhuwanbahadur Sunar, Vishnubahadur Bishwakarma, Manrupa Sharma, Durga Gurung, Shonam Gyaljen Sherpa, Jayantidevi Rai, Mayaprasad Sharma, Madan Kumari Sah, Garima, Bhagwati Neupane, Kiran Babu Shrestha, Krishnabahadur Rokaya, Anandaprasad Dhungana, Padambahadur Pariyar, and Mrigendrakumar Singh Yadav.
