KATHMANDU: The second song titled “Mutu Bhitra Khil Chha Hajura” from the much-anticipated Nepali film ‘Sitamol’, set to release on Shrawan 23, has been officially released.

The song video features the film’s lead actors Sougat Malla, Benisha Hamal, Srikrishna Niraula, Januka Bishwokarma, alongside the music composer and singer Babul Giri. The heartfelt composition is by Babul Giri, with lyrics penned by Govind Bhatta.

This song marks Babul Giri’s special debut in the Nepali silver screen as both a composer and singer.

After a short clip of the song featured in the film’s teaser went viral on social media platforms like Facebook and TikTok, the production team released the full version today, aiming to boost the film’s hype among audiences.

The makers are confident that this soulful track will resonate deeply with viewers and enhance the anticipation surrounding the film.

Earlier teasers and songs from ‘Sitamol’ have already garnered positive attention and favorable reviews from the audience.

Directed and produced by Raj Bahadur Sane, the film symbolically portrays Nepali society, reflecting on cultural flaws rooted in ancient traditions, aiming to critically examine and challenge these societal issues.

The creators emphasize that the film is crafted to engage viewers through its socially relevant narrative.

Alongside Sougat Malla and Benisha Hamal, the cast includes Srikrishna Niraula, Januka Bishwokarma, Lokendra Lekhak, Bhugol Karki, Hiuwaala Gautam, Sushil Pokhrel, Dinesh Regmi, RR Khadka, Gyanu Malla, Pawan Bhattarai, Kajal Bhujel, and child actors Karan Nepali and Aradhya Rajyalaxmi DC. Notably, Srikrishna and Januka make their silver screen debuts with this film.

Produced by Tulsi Devi Films in collaboration with Juntara Films, the screenplay and story are co-written by Pradeep Bharadhwaj and director Sane. The presentation is by Simos Sunuwar.

Bhugol Kumar Karki and Bikash Raj Joshi serve as producers, with Apsara Nepali, Ajay Malla, and Kumar KC as executive producers, and Gangaram Shrestha as co-producer.

The technical team includes choreography by Kaviraj Gahtaraj, editing by Bande Prasad, DI color grading by Rajendra Moktan, sound design by Mukesh Shah, and action direction by Dev Maharjan and Shankar Maharjan. Poster design is by Rakesh Dahal, while production managers are Bikash Tamang and Dhan Bahadur Rai.
