Motorcycle accident update: Details of deceased & injured
All injured victims are currently undergoing treatment, while authorities continue further investigation into the cause of the accident.
KATHMANDU: Three students were tragically burned to death after two motorcycles collided and caught fire this morning in Bathnaha village along the Jaleshwar–Bardibas road section.
According to police, the deceased have been identified as approximately 20-year-old Subhash Das, son of Surendra Das, and Ravi Das, son of Ramdayal Das, both residents of Jaleshwar Municipality–6. The third victim is Abhishek Mandal, also around 20, son of Shatrudhan Mandal from Ekdara Rural Municipality–3.
Police confirmed that the identities of the victims were established after their bodies were recognized by family members. Information officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police Shailendra Bhatt stated that the bodies were severely burned due to the fire that broke out following the collision.
The incident also left three others seriously injured. The injured have been identified as 19-year-old Rohit Das, son of Suresh Das; 19-year-old Abhay Kapar, son of Lakhindra Kapar, both from Jaleshwar Municipality–6; and 20-year-old Ajay Kapar, son of Ramvaran Kapar from Bathnaha, Ekdara Rural Municipality–5.
