More flights to capital: Nepal Airlines boosts Bhojpur schedule
According to Prakash Khadka, station chief of NAC in Bhojpur, the expanded schedule comes after technical issues that had temporarily reduced operations.
KATHMANDU: Bhojpur, a hilly district in eastern Nepal, will now see more flights connecting it to the capital as Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) expands its schedule. Previously operating only two flights per week, the national flag carrier will now run four flights between Bhojpur and Kathmandu.
According to Prakash Khadka, station chief of NAC in Bhojpur, the expanded schedule comes after technical issues that had temporarily reduced operations.
The new flights will operate every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday, effective from 26th Kartik. Earlier, flights were limited to Thursdays and Saturdays.
With another aircraft returning from maintenance, the airline has been able to increase flights to Bhojpur.
NAC continues to facilitate travelers through online ticket bookings via its official website to ensure smooth travel.
Meanwhile, flights between Bhojpur and Biratnagar remain suspended.
Since the first flight from Bhojpur’s grass airstrip in 1978 (Bikram Sambat 2035), the airport has been gradually upgraded to a proper runway, but currently, only NAC operates flights.
The limited number of flights had long caused difficulties for passengers traveling to and from Kathmandu.
