Minister urges 1% budget for Science & Innovation

KATHMANDU: Science and Innovation Minister Mahabir Pun has urged provincial and local governments to allocate at least one percent of their capital expenditure to science and innovation.

Taking to social media, the minister emphasized that such budget allocation should be included in provincial and local government planning to strengthen research, development, and innovation activities across the country.

He stressed that building a prosperous nation requires consistent investment in science and innovation, and said his ministry will continue working to promote a culture of research and innovation among all levels of government and citizens.
