FM Khanal to visit China for four-day official trip

KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal is set to embark on a four-day official visit to China on the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

According to Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nepal, Minister Khanal will leave for Beijing on June 14.

During the visit, he will hold bilateral talks with his Chinese counterpart focusing on strengthening Nepal–China relations and expanding mutual cooperation.

The minister will also meet senior Chinese officials in separate engagements and participate in an investment conference organized by the Nepali Embassy in Beijing aimed at attracting foreign investment into Nepal.

He is also scheduled to interact with Chinese entrepreneurs and business leaders.

In addition, the embassy will host a welcome reception in his honor, where Minister Khanal will engage with the Nepali diaspora community in China.

He is scheduled to return to Nepal on June 17 after completing the visit.
