Minister Sinha pledges pressure-free appointments, approves himalayan waste plan

KATHMANDU: Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Minister Anil Kumar Sinha has stated that he will not succumb to any kind of pressure.
Speaking briefly to journalists while assuming office at Singha Durbar on Sunday, Minister Sinha emphasized that leadership appointments in institutions under his ministry will be made solely in the interest of those institutions.
He clarified that no appointments would be influenced by external pressure or personal influence.

The minister also stressed that information provided by the media would be given priority in his work.
During the occasion, Minister Sinha took his first decision regarding the management of waste in the Himalayan region.
He noted that since the court has already issued directives on the matter, he has approved a strategy to implement the court’s orders effectively.
