Manakamana Cable Car resumes regular service after weeklong suspension

KATHMANDU: The Manakamana Cable Car has resumed regular operations from today.

According to Ujwal Sherchan, head of the cable car office, services were suspended on Bhadra 25 following the Gen Z protests on Bhadra 23 and 24, but have now reopened after a week.

During the closure, routine maintenance and servicing were carried out.

The Manakamana Cable Car, Nepal’s first cable car, provides pilgrims easy access to the Manakamana Temple located in Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality, Gorkha.

Its lower station, or entrance, is situated at Chheres in Ichchhakamana-4, Chitwan.
