Man held for abusing singer Eleena Chauhan online

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a man on charges of abusing popular singer Eleena Chauhan via social media.

According to Nepal Police’s Cyber Bureau, Gunjan Rai from Chitwan was arrested from Lalitpur for allegedly using offensive language and verbally abusing Chauhan online.

Authorities stated that preparations are underway to present Rai before the Kathmandu District Court for an extension of his custody.

The Cyber Bureau confirmed that Rai had used derogatory remarks against the singer through various social media platforms.

An investigation is ongoing, and further legal proceedings will follow as per the law.
