Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank marks 32nd anniversary with nationwide social & community programs

KATHMANDU: Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank has entered its 32nd year of operation and celebrated its annual anniversary week by organizing a series of social, health, cultural, and promotional programs from Jestha 2 to 7.

As part of the anniversary events, on Jestha, the bank conducted a morning rally with financial literacy awareness programs across its central office, provincial offices, and branch offices with the participation of employees.

The awareness programs highlighted various banking services including mobile banking, smart QR payments, deposits, loans, and remittance services.

On Jestha 4, a large-scale free health camp was organized at the bank’s central office.

Similarly, on Jestha 5, free dental and eye camps were conducted. Around 200 individuals received health check-ups, including general health, eye, and dental services.

On Jestha 6, the bank organized nationwide blood donation programs across its central and provincial offices, collecting 200 pints of blood. The initiative aimed to support blood supply management, addressing ongoing challenges in the healthcare sector.

On the same day, the bank also supported cultural promotion and temple cleanliness initiatives by providing cleaning materials to various Mahalaxmi temples.

Additionally, at the Mahalaxmi Temple in Mahalaxmisthan, Lalitpur, the bank supported garden maintenance and promoted digital donation systems.

On Jestha 7, employees from the central, provincial, and branch offices participated by wearing traditional local attire to showcase Nepal’s cultural and geographical diversity, along with cultural performances representing different communities.

On the same day, the bank also handed over a water tank to the Narayanhiti Narayansthan Guthi Management Committee to support drinking water management at Narayanhiti.

The bank also displayed photographs collected under its annual “Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Bijchitra Photography Competition,” organized to promote local small and medium enterprises, coinciding with World Photography Day.

In addition, the bank announced that the fifth edition of the Mahalaxmi Corporate Cricketer tournament, which has been successfully conducted for the past four years, will also be held this Jestha.
