According to police, a team from the Kathmandu Division Forest Office tranquilized the leopard using a dart and safely brought it under control.
The leopard had strayed into a house near Manamaiju Temple and injured two local residents before being rescued, said Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, spokesperson for the Kathmandu District Police Complex.
The injured have been identified as Dulal Maharjan and Mayanath Wagle. Both were rushed to hospital for treatment.
Their condition is reported to be stable.
Authorities said the rescued leopard will be examined by wildlife officials before being released back into a safe habitat.
