Intensive search underway for missing in Ramechhap bus crash
Twelve passengers died on the spot, eight others were injured, and three remain missing.
KATHMANDU: A rapid search operation is underway in Ramechhap after a tragic bus accident on Tuesday left three people missing.
Dive teams from the Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force have intensified search efforts across multiple locations of the Tamakoshi River and the Sunkoshi River, where victims are feared to have been swept away by the current.
The bus, operated by Araniko Yatayat Sewa Pvt. Ltd., was traveling from Kathmandu to Okhaldhunga when it veered off the road near Triveni Bridge in Manthali Municipality-6 and plunged about 100 meters into the Tamakoshi River.

Chief of the District Police Office, Bhola Bhatta, said that search and rescue operations are being carried out at full intensity despite challenging river conditions.
Authorities have urged local residents to report any sightings as rescue teams continue combbing downstream areas.
