Inisha BK’s murder case: Police submit investigation report

KATHMANDU: Police in Surkhet have submitted their investigation report into the death of 16-year-old Inisha BK to the District Public Prosecutor’s Office. The report follows an inquiry into the teenager’s death on March 7 in Birendranagar Municipality-1, where she was found dead.

Authorities had taken a 16-year-old boy into custody and also questioned three others in connection with the case. Sudhir Raj Shahi, Chief of Surkhet District Police, confirmed the submission of the report but declined to comment on its findings.

The victim’s family, alleging that Inisha was gang-raped and murdered, has refused to claim her body until the perpetrators are brought to justice. Her body has remained at the Karnali Province Hospital morgue for 19 days.
