India hands over 19 one-ton vehicles

KATHMANDU: The government of India has donated 19 one-ton vehicles to the Government of Nepal.

The handover ceremony took place at the ICP in Birgunj customs area, where Indian Commercial Counsellor Manish Kumar Das formally handed over the vehicles to Suman Kumar Karki, Assistant Chief District Officer of Parsa.

The Indian Embassy stated that the vehicles were provided as part of India’s support at the request of the Nepalese government.

Expressing gratitude, Assistant Chief District Officer Karki confirmed that the vehicles will be forwarded to Nepal’s Ministry of Home Affairs for official use.
