IME & Samsung Nepal launch remittance-based customer benefit scheme for migrant workers
Under the scheme, customers who send money to Nepal through IME Remit will receive attractive benefits when purchasing Samsung electronic products.
KATHMANDU: IME, Nepal’s leading remittance service provider, has partnered with Samsung Nepal to introduce a new customer benefit scheme aimed at supporting Nepali migrant workers and their families.
Under the scheme, customers who send money to Nepal through IME Remit will receive attractive benefits when purchasing Samsung electronic products.
These include special discounts, cashback offers, and other promotional rewards on a range of items such as smartphones, televisions, refrigerators, and washing machines.
To access the benefits, customers must first remit money through IME from abroad and keep the IME control number.
They can then visit authorized Samsung stores or dealers in Nepal to purchase products, with financing options available through F1Soft, including easy EMI plans of up to 24 months.
Customers purchasing eligible Samsung products can receive up to 6% cashback directly into their IME Wallet.
Additionally, smartphone buyers activating Ncell services may receive bonus data of up to 180GB under the promotional offer.
IME CEO Diwakar Paudel said the initiative aims to make remittance earnings more meaningful by linking them with direct financial benefits and improving the quality of life for migrant families.
The companies expect the campaign to make Samsung’s modern technology products more affordable and accessible while adding extra value to remittance inflows into Nepal.
