HoR Speaker election set for April 5

KATHMANDU: The election for the Speaker of the House of Representatives has been scheduled for April 5 (Chaitra 22).

The date was finalized during an all-party meeting held at Singha Durbar on Tuesday.

According to Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Khusbu Oli, nominations for the post will be registered on April 3 (Chaitra 20).

Oli said the election will take place on April 5, and the newly elected Speaker is expected to assume office on the same day.
