Heavy rains leave 13 dead, 19 injured in E. Afghanistan

KABUL: At least 13 people have been killed and 19 others injured following heavy rains in eastern Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province, the official Bakhtar news agency reported on Tuesday.

According to the report, the casualties occurred after intense rainfall struck multiple districts starting last week, triggering floods and related incidents.

Emergency response teams have been deployed to assist victims and evaluate the extent of the damage.
