KATHMANDU: Gujarat Titans secured a thrilling four-wicket victory over Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League 2026 on Sunday, continuing their impressive run in the tournament.

Chasing a target of 164, Gujarat reached 164/6 in 19.5 overs in a tense finish at Ahmedabad.

The home side held their nerve in the final over, with Washington Sundar smashing a crucial six off the penultimate delivery to seal the victory.

Earlier, Punjab Kings posted 163/9 in their 20 overs after being put under pressure by Gujarat’s disciplined bowling attack. Suryansh Shedge top-scored with 57 runs, while Marcus Stoinis contributed 40.

Gujarat’s bowlers dominated the early stages of the innings, reducing Punjab to 47/5. Jason Holder starred with four wickets, while Kagiso Rabada claimed two. Mohammed Siraj also played a key role in maintaining pressure with the new ball.

In reply, Sai Sudharsan anchored Gujarat’s chase with a composed 57-run knock before Sundar’s unbeaten 40 guided the team home dramatically.

For Punjab, Arshdeep Singh and Vijaykumar Vyshak picked up two wickets each, but their efforts were not enough to prevent the defeat.

The victory marked Gujarat Titans’ third consecutive win of the season, taking them to 12 points on the table. Despite suffering their second straight loss, Punjab Kings remain at the top of the standings.
