KATHMANDU: The Government of Nepal has announced plans to review the Constitution and strengthen the federal democratic republican system.

Presenting the policy and program for the upcoming fiscal year on behalf of the government, President Ramchandra Paudel on Friday stated that the government is committed to reinforcing the strengths of the Constitution while addressing its shortcomings through a process of consensus-based amendment.

The government aims to safeguard the federal democratic system by countering all forms of regressive, revivalist, and anarchic activities.

As part of this effort, constitutional review and necessary reforms will be undertaken to enhance effective implementation and promote political stability.

President Paudel further emphasized the government’s resolve to ensure policy continuity and long-term stability through constitutional and systemic improvements.
