Gold stable, silver sees slight rise

KATHMANDU: Gold prices remained steady while silver witnessed a modest increase. The price of silver per tola rose by Rs 50.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Traders, the price of Chhapawal gold is fixed at Rs 294,000 per tola, while the same quantity of silver is valued at Rs 4,830.

On Thursday, gold had held steady at Rs 294,000 per tola, whereas last Wednesday, it had been Rs 297,600 per tola.

Silver was priced at Rs 4,945 per tola at that time.

Meanwhile, international markets saw gold trading at USD 4,700 per ounce and silver at USD 73 per ounce, according to global media reports.
