Gold & silver rices dip

KATHMANDU: Gold and silver prices have slightly declined in the local market today.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association, the rate of Chhapawal gold has fallen by Rs 3,600 per tola to Rs 294,000, while silver dropped by Rs 165 per tola to Rs 4,780.

Yesterday, the price of Chhapawal gold was Rs 297,600 per tola, and silver was Rs 4,945 per tola.

Earlier on Tuesday, gold was valued at Rs 290,200 per tola, with silver at Rs 4,845 per tola.

Internationally, gold is trading at USD 5,200 per ounce and silver at USD 85 per ounce, according to global market reports.
