KATHMANDU: Gold and silver prices in Nepal continued their upward trend today, driven by international market volatility, gradual price increases, and shifting demand.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold has risen to Rs 247,000 per tola, up from Rs 242,700 yesterday, marking a daily increase of Rs 5,200.

Similarly, silver has climbed to Rs 3,200 per tola, up Rs 85 from yesterday’s rate of Rs 3,115.

Global reports indicate that today an ounce of gold is trading at USD 4,141, while silver is priced at USD 51 per ounce.
