Gold & silver prices rise

The price of gold rose by Rs 1,800 per tola, while silver increased by Rs 105 per tola.

KATHMANDU: Gold and silver prices increased in the domestic market on Thursday compared to Wednesday, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.

The price of gold rose by Rs 1,800 per tola, while silver increased by Rs 105 per tola.

The price of hallmarked gold is now fixed at Rs 298,600 per tola, whereas silver is trading at Rs 5,155 per tola.

On Wednesday, gold was traded at Rs 296,800 per tola and silver at Rs 5,050 per tola.

A day earlier, on Tuesday, gold was priced at Rs 291,000 per tola and silver at Rs 4,880 per tola.

In the international market, gold is being traded at around USD 4,703 per ounce, while silver stands at USD 77 per ounce, according to international media reports.
