KATHMANDU: The prices of gold and silver in Nepal continue to break new records, with gold reaching an all-time high on Sunday.

The price of gold surged by Rs 1,600 per tola, reaching Rs 212,000, the highest ever recorded in the country’s history.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Entrepreneurs’ Federation, the price of hallmark gold was trading at Rs 210,400 per tola the previous day.

However, it has now risen to Rs 212,000, reflecting a significant increase in value.

Along with gold, the price of silver has also set a new record. On Sunday, silver was priced at Rs 2,500 per tola, up from Rs 2,490 per tola the previous day, marking a new milestone in the metal’s pricing history.

Experts attribute the rising prices of gold and silver in Nepal to the increasing international market prices and ongoing geopolitical instability.

This upward trend in precious metal prices is impacting both investors and consumers, who are facing challenges in navigating the volatile market conditions.
