Gold, silver prices hit record high in Nepal

KAATHMANDU: Gold and silver prices in the Nepali market have reached new record highs.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of standard gold (tola) rose by Rs 1,100 on Sunday, reaching Rs 217,100—matching the previous peak recorded on Bhadra 31, 2080.

On Friday alone, gold prices had increased by Rs 800, closing at Rs 216,000.

Silver prices also saw an upward trend, rising by Rs 40 per tola to reach Rs 2,620, the association reported.
