Gold & silver prices drop sharply

KATHMANDU: The prices of gold and silver witnessed a sharp decline in the Nepali market today, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association.

Gold price fell by a significant Rs 5,500 per tola in a single day.

The precious metal is now being traded at Rs 285,000 per tola, down from Rs 290,500 recorded on Wednesday.

Similarly, silver also saw a steep drop of Rs 215 per tola.

The price of silver has been fixed at Rs 4,865 per tola today, compared to Rs 5,080 on the previous day.
