Gold price drops by Rs 700, silver rises slightly

KATHMANDU: Gold prices declined while silver saw a modest increase in the domestic market on Wednesday, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.

The price of Chhapawal gold dropped by Rs 700 per tola, bringing it to Rs 302,200 per tola.

In contrast, silver increased by Rs 15 per tola, reaching Rs 5,710.

On Tuesday, gold was traded at Rs 302,900 per tola, while silver was priced at Rs 5,695 per tola in local markets.

In the international market, gold is currently trading at around USD 4,725 per ounce, while silver is being traded at approximately USD 87 per ounce, according to international media reports.
